The Big Clyde Clean Up

West Dunbartonshire Council’s Greenspace team is supporting a major environmental initiative that brings together local authorities, community volunteer groups, schools, and businesses across the region.

The Big Clyde Clean Up aims to enhance the river corridor, tackle litter and pollution, and inspire long‑term pride in Scotland’s waterways. In alignment with Keep Scotland Beautiful’s Spring Clean Scotland 2026 campaign and the Upstream Battle project, a series of local and regional clean‑up activities will be delivered to create a meaningful and lasting impact.

Within the West Dunbartonshire Council area, the scheduled date for cleaning Loch Lomond and the Leven Valley is Saturday, 21 March.

Participating organisations include West Dunbartonshire Council, Keep Scotland Beautiful, Friends of Leven River Valley, Friends of Dumbarton Foreshore, local community councils, and local Scout groups.

The Loch Lomond Angling Improvement Association encourages all members and anglers to support this important initiative by volunteering a few hours of their time. Please refer to the attached poster for further details.
