Catch Returns

Firstly we’d like to thank those members who have submitted their returns for Season 2017. These have now been processed by our Catch Returns officer and logged against the LLAIA database. The submission rate is well up on this time last year but their are still a good number to come in. The Association must have these collated and sent to Marine Scotland by 31 December. We have now extended the deadline to 15 December but after that date members will still be required to provide a return. ‘Nil returns’ must also be recorded.

At this year’s AGM addressing the catch return submission rate was raised as a priority for the committee. The last thing that we want to introduce is financial penalties on defaulters and/or delay in issue of permits until returns are received. We hope that by tightening up on administration we’ll get the message across. In these days of uncertainty over our Annual Conservation Status, every fish counts!

‘Nil returns’ made by members using online ‘Catch Register’ facility have not been recorded. The system doesn’t believe that members don’t catch fish……..Anyone in this category should complete a return form stating ‘Nil Return’. This problem has only recently been identified and should be resolved by the end of next season.

Paper forms can either be posted to :

LLAIA, 4, Woodside Place, Glasgow, G3 7QF

or alternatively deposited in the ‘catch return’ boxes located on the riverside outside Voldac and within O’Brien’s store at Bonhill Bridge.

Renewal of Membership

Only a couple of months till the season opens and some members have already applied for renewals. Forms will be sent out in due course but in the meantime can be downloaded from our website under LLAIA Membership

PayPal facility is available for either a ‘one off ‘ payment or by 3 monthly payments. Permits will not be issued until the third payment is received. Members should also be aware that the turn around time can vary (up to two weeks) so don’t leave it till the day before your first intended trip. Please note that members or associate members should not fish on LLAIA waters until they have received their permit.

Annual General Meeting.

Arrangements for the 2018 LLAIA AGM are in hand and notification of time and venue will be posted out.
