Everyone will undoubtedly be aware of the good news today from the Scottish First Minister of the ‘potential’ relaxation on lockdown restrictions in hopefully moving to Phase One of the Scottish Government’s roadmap.
If this move is decided on the 28th May then this would allow subsequent participation in certain sports and activities including angling.
However, this decision will be made by the Scottish Government on the 28th May based upon infection rates at that time, so the system will not actually open on the 28th May and suspension will remain in place until such times as the Scottish Government confirms if and what date that any easing of restrictions will apply from.
As soon as confirmation is announced we’ll provide an immediate update. Social distancing and the principles of Staying Safe will still require to be practiced and details of safe practice guidelines for all anglers will be published shortly.
O’Briens  Newsagent and Lomond Stores Balloch are open just now and selling season tickets only, day and weekly tickets will only be sold when system opens.
However, it should be noted that should there be  a significant rise in the Covid-19 infection rate and related mortalities then current ‘Lock Down’ may  be maintained.
We would like to thank our members and ticket holders for their cooperation  and continued support throughout this difficult time.
